I love the option to go back and play a different way! Good AI Jan 27, By Marie Griggs. See all positive reviews. Looking for a thinking game. Nov 30, By Joken8. The opponents always know much more than is possible in a real game. And, do it consistently. Jan 10, By Connie Bradley. Computerized players are a poor representation of artificial intelligence. Stuck on stupid when it comes to bidding. Play a convention that is silly and only communicates points not preferred suits, a very vague system.
Anticipating the skewed bidding system of your tin hat partner is the only way you can settle on the best final bid or pass. All other features are good. Oct 4, By Jeremiah Grossman. Ok, but now frozen. Was having fun, thought it does get frustrating when the computer partner has a finger slip and hits an irrational bid.
Anyway, it got suck on the loading screen during a hand, and it will not get past it. Will probably just delete the game after this. Random Deal seems to be broken Apr 17, By fishing dude 4ork. The frequency of 9 or 10 high hands being dealt to South is well beyond statistical probability. For example, in the last 5 hands I was dealt, 3 hands were 9 high with even distribution, 1 hand had a single Jack with even distribution, and the 5th hand was about 5 points again with even distribution.
Without keeping detailed records, I feel percent of South hands are 9 or 10 high. Beware that the program uses a strange 4NT bid by North. Following a pass by South, a bid by West. North will overcall 4NT to indicate 2 4-card suits for the lowest suits that have not been bid and North usually has only points. The bid is doubled. So with with South having a high hand with no honors, and North having so few points, declarers often capture only one or two tricks.
I have not found a way to avoid this disaster. Additionally, be prepared for North to discard winning Aces and Kings or overtake your winning trick permitting opponents to set up their suit.
This occurs despite the lead being from dummy when it is obvious what cards to hold. Often, North will discard Ace or King while continuing to hold 3 small cards in the same suit. North is not unblocking hand for South because never has much of a chance to catch a trick when mostly holding high hands! Aug 22, By marty xray.
Hope they have improved duplicate play. Just completed a game where AI defence took 4 quick winners against 4H whereas at table 2 the AI defense took 2 quick winners then inexplicably allowed the opponents to take a trick and make the contract! Downgrading to two stars.
In duplicate mode the ai can get overtricks on hands that would be impossible to even make book!!! Good app but suddenly stuck on 'Loading'. U installed and re- install hasn't fixed the problem. See all negative reviews. No reviews available See All Community Reviews. No reviews available See All Expert Reviews. Jan 3, By Robert Pfohl. The hint feature is important to learn bid meanings.
Hint feature is also helpful in the play of cards. This Bridge format is graphic. The menu allows you to inform yourself of further aspects you may wish to examine. Oct 27, By Jared Frandson. As a pandemic project I decided to learn to play bridge. Of all the books and tutorials and apps this one really taught me how to -play- by playing.
The hints and undo features and bidding explanations are great for a beginner though I recommend learning the basics of play and bidding from a tutorial app first or you will be lost. I also appreciate that it is a one time cost and not forever pay to play like most of the other apps more.
Sep 25, All bridge apps let you play the cards. When I last played bridge there were only 3 conventions. Bidding was pretty much straight forward. You bid what you had, unless you were bidding for slam. Today even level 2 bids can mean the exact opposite of what it used to mean. Game has become far more complicated than 50 years ago. This app allows you to get an explanation of each bid, and hint on the next, and it does it well.
Only suggestion is a way for computer to PLAY hand 1 card at a time more. Sep 8, By Andrew Woodruff. I love this app! I love that this app lets me undo moves as far back as I want - I like to play out a game the way I think it should be done, and then go back and see how the AI recommends that I play it. It's helpful for my learning!
I also have already downloaded "Oh Hell" from the same app maker, which is a fun one. Definitely recommend! By Mike Smith. This game is excellent. It has so many features you will love. You can save hands and replay or share. You can elect to practice bidding or playing or both.
You can take as long as you want. You can start and come back in four hours. The hand is there waiting for you. Really love this app. Also it gives you the ability to get hints and make suggestions but you can do it your way too. Update a year later. Still love it. Best practice more.
See all 5 reviews. Aug 18, By Jay Witt. Good implementation - the game play is pretty good at it's highest level. There's no real training mode - if you're just learning, I think you'll be pretty confused. On the pro side, the explanation of the bids in all modes is very helpful. I was using the app to tune up - it help me a lot. I hadn't played in 20 years, now I'm confident I won't embarass myself. I do agree with some comments, there's no way to adjust bidding conventions.
Bidding rules Sep 8, By Always Learning Player. I gave this bridge app a four star as it is one of only ones I have found that you can play alone quickly and anytime against a computer. I do not quite understand the bidding rules as they do not necessarily follow the normal rules that I have learned -maybe too many years ago.
For example- Number of points to open, raising or changing suits, when to stay or go to game or slam, playing the game??? It is good practice. Oct 25, By Patricia Thomford. I would like to be able to change bid. When I know I have the rest of tricks, I would like to just declare win. It lets the other team do this when they have the bid.
It will not let me when I have bid. Jan 6, By Steven Brody. Does silly things like having partner bid 4 when only 2 is necessary for game and the hand only makes 3. Does this over and over. Very frustrating. See all 4 reviews. Love the game Sep 2, By pollie1. Hate the crashes. Great interface and play — like to buy as free version and crashes are just too frequent. See all 3 reviews. Dec 2, By Benjamin O'Neill. The AI component that runs your partner's bidding is awful. It will also jump-shift from 3 of something to 6NT when you have a combined total of 24 pts. The only salvageable moment is being able to undo moves to figure out different algorithms to attempt to win the hand.
Neural Bridge Nov 11, By Jack in SC. The bidding engine really stinks…North frequently departs from standard or even rational calls. Jan 4, By peter fitton. Used to enjoy this game. I don't mind a few ads but now overwhelmed with long repetitive ads. Nov 19, By Paul Farr. Why is my partner always jumping out the window with their bids?? Horrible AI doesn't know when to pass and when to bid, no matter what level I set them at.
The basics of the app function well, but bidding is essential to this game and the AI does not understand the standard bidding system.
I replayed a hand my partner had previously passed on and altered my bid still on the 1 level , so my AI partner decides this time they want to go for a small slam. What do you know? Set by a mile. Great bid more. Bridge by Neural Play Jan 7, By jake the sis. Very frustrating as opposing team at times will trump and then come back with the suit that they trumped! I have no recourse!

Better Than Most Jan 20, By Starman6. I primarily like playing on my own against the AI, which performs better than most Bridge apps out there. Good range of hands dealt so you don't have long runs of low point hands. The AI opponents bid competently. Some apps have totally outlandish bids. The hints offered are actually useful, if needed. I would like an Undo button right on the main screen rather than needing to navigate through the review button.
Great customization options for the look of the cards, table and cloth too. And, the in app purchase to remove ads is quite reasonable for the quality and features offered in this game. Definitely a keeper for me! Dec 18, By Rob Poston. I love it! I've learned much by replaying the same hands over again and again, if necessary to see the result of different card playing strategies. Turn on airplane mode on your device and get no ads! Great Bridge App Jul 28, By bfamily I love this game.
